VBOX Multi-Function Display

HomeVBOX Multi-Function Display

The VBox Multi-Function Touch Display (MFD Touch) is the perfect addition for anyone that already owns a VBOX 3i data logger. It is designed to show data from GPS derived channels, such as speed and heading, that are outputted from a Racelogic VBOX 3i, over CAN. It can also calculate and present performance test results, live from the test vehicle on a large colour screen.

It has a 4.3” daylight readable, responsive colour touchscreen, that is extremely customisable. There are four fixed screen layouts that you can easily configure directly on the device, by choosing which channels you wish to see for each test. Additionally, performance test results can be viewed instantly on the 4.3” TFT screen, as well as written to an SD card.

Up to six parameters can be displayed on a single screen, such as speed, lateral & longitudinal acceleration, radius of turn, distance travelled, heading and various brake test channels.

The VBox Multi-Function Touch Display can be mounted directly on the windscreen and comes with a heavy-duty suction cup. It also provides audio and visual alerts, via the inbuilt speaker and LED status lights, to show when a user defined data condition or test condition (such as a target speed) has been met, so that the driver knows when to perform a particular action, such as applying the brake pedal.

VBox Multi-Function Display
  • 4.3” TFT colour touchscreen
  • Displays up to six VBOX data channels simultaneously
  • Audio and visual alerts (via inbuilt speaker and LED status lights)
  • User-configurable display parameters
  • Connects directly to the VBOX 3i via CAN
  • Ideal for performance and braking tests (speed-to-speed and trigger activated)
  • See test results live from the vehicle
  • Supplied with a heavy-duty rubber suction cup
  • All performance test results are output via CAN.
  • All performance test results can be written to SD card, in a text file.
  • Compatible with CAN Hub

The MFD Touch is ideal for anyone that already owns a VBOX 3i data logger. It shows the test driver several different parameters and VBOX channels, live from the vehicle. The parameters displayed can be easily configured and changed for each test, making the MFD Touch a fantastic upgrade for anyone that wishes to see speed, average speed, distance travelled, number of satellites, deceleration data, brake trigger data and even radius of turn, on a 4.3” TFT colour touchscreen.

Typical applications include:

  • Performance Testing
  • Brake Testing (speed-to-speed and trigger-to-speed)
  • Deceleration testing
  • Lap timing
  • Tyre testing
  • Vehicle dynamics testing

General parameters are taken from a standard RACELOGIC CAN output from the VBOX 3i.

Brake test parameters are commonly used in brake testing, the majority of which require the use of the VBOX brake trigger switch or VBOX Pedal Force Sensor and Event Marker Interface.
